This section contains information about some of the specific groups of people who live in York and who may have specific needs. The section identifies some of these groups of people and particular issues, inequalities or needs faced by them.

This includes information about people who are carers, from a black or minority ethnic group, young people who are not in education, employment or training, the student community, children and young people who have safeguarding needs, people who suffer from domestic violence, parents, young offenders, hearing impaired or deaf people, people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender, military personnel, their dependents and veterans, and people with learning disabilities.
